I think Mike will stay at Mizzou

I was a BIG Mizzou fan the last few weeks rooting for Mike. They played great down the stretch. I will be very surprised if he bolts for Georgia or Memphis (assuming Calipari goes to KU). Tulsa did well and I was hoping they could squeeze in the tourney with their record (25-11). I also rooted for Tubby and Bill Self. I'm a Carolina guy this weekend.

Things are rather calm here right now. Baseball practice started last night. Hope all is well with everyone!

Neat Website

The St Louis Post is all worked up over whether or not Mike Anderson will stay at Mizzou....but I thought THIS website was worth passing along.

If you click on a city - any city- it will give you that day's front page of their newspaper. The Intelligencer isn't on there yet, though!

Pretty neat site for news junkies, fun to compare headlines, etc and it will also be fun to see what kind of press Obama gets this week in Europe.

Hope you all are off to a good week! I'm grading exams today and then we're talking about political campaign commercials in classes today. Good times.

This is posted in honor of my favorite Mizzou grad, Scott. Very exciting night last night and we are hoping for another good game tomorrow. Go Tigers!

Does this photo remind you of anyone?

Here's a photo of our new principal at Kennerly, Suzanne Christopher. Let's just say that more DADS are showing up to the PTA meetings these days........
Does she remind you of anyone in our family? Hmmmm......... =)

Monica's 40th Birthday Surprise Party

Since Monica had surprised me at 40 and 50, I was determined to pay her back when she turned 40. This past weekend we did it. Under the guise of "meeting some friends for dinner" we had set Saturday night aside. I told her we first had to stop by an anniversary party at Indian Springs for an older couple we know from tennis. The staff at Indian Springs was phenomenal! The catering manager meets us in the lobby and asks if we are there for the anniversary party and shows us to the room where all of Monica's friends are waiting. SURPRISE! She never saw it coming.

Now because Ty had placed a photo here of Patty on her 40th Birtday, Monica is going through all of her photos to determine which one she wants you all to see. That could take a while. But Tuesday is her 40th Birthday and Wednesday is then Drew's 7th. It should be a wild week in Tulsa.

Dateline: Tulsa World March 18th, 2009

Ty Nilsson is back in the local news and on the front page of the Sports Section. Every year when the NIT starts, and Tulsa is playing in it, the whole town flashes back to 1981. It is understood that that was the event and the year that put Tulsa Basketball on the National map. And the all of the credit goes to the guy in the circle, drawn courtesy of Blakey.

So raise your glass of Diet Dr. Pepper -- I gave up booze for lent and I swear it has already been the longest 40 days and nights of my life -- and let's toast to TU and TY. Here! Here!

Congrats, Tom!

Glad to hear your team did so well! Also glad to hear that you'll be able to eat again....we were hearing that the games had you a little nervous. ;-)

Things are good here in STL. I am on spring break but the boys aren't off school this week...their spring break is next week. It's very easy to get used to not having a schedule, it has me excited for summer. I'll be done with classes April 29th!

I don't have any fancy photos like Tom has, but I did just get this little pic of Sean emailed to me from someone who took it at the Scout banquet. Ian's wrestling banquet is tonight and Scott (lost?) won the draw so he is taking him.

Hope everyone is doing well! xxxoooo - Julie

BA Cyclones

Here are the Broken Arrow Cyclones.

We finished the year in second place in the league and second place in the playoffs, but we GOT HARDWARE! We played games in Sand Springs and Berryhill and a team from Owasso as well as five other teams from Broken Arrow. Our record was 11-3.

These are eight of the greatest little kids. I would be glad to call anyone of them my son and even more glad that there is one of these little dudes that I actually can.

Blake was our Assistant Coach. She came to every practice and helped out on the floor, so she was awarded the 2nd Place team trophy at the team banquet Saturday morning at CiCi's Pizza.
